Structural Engineering
Expertise since 1979. Normek Oy is able to provide steel construction projects comprehensively including the design, manufacturing and installation processes. Solutions include steel structures from load-bearing steel frame structures to complete facade entities for industrial, manufacturing, business, office, residential, warehouse and sports buildings.
Normek delivers up to 28 thousand tons of steel structures annually. Our famous references are for example Harwall Arena, Kamppi Center and REDI Shopping Center in Finland. We are committed to give our all to make customer satisfaction level as high as possible.
Steel frame structures are used in demanding construction projects. They have high life span, flexibility and recyclability not forgetting strength and durability.
Our production facilities are located across Finland – in Oulu, Naarajärvi and Alavus. Our modern production plants operate at high capacities enabling massive steel structures to be manufactured and surface treated at the most cost-effective price.
Our company is able to deliver massive steel structures according to the customer’s timetable with reliable special transports. The installation project on the site is accelerated as the elements are mainly readily assembled in the factories. Our high standards guarantee continuous testing throughout the project in accordance with the quality assurance system.
We have successfully implemented solutions to whole Nordics and to the Baltic states. Our professional skills have also been recognized all around the world. Individual projects are made as far as in Africa, Far East and South America.
Roof Systems / Wall Elements
Our facades unit specializes in customized, domestic facade systems. The facades are constructed of steel or aluminum profile frames and, thermal insulations, vapor barrier, inner surface cladding and wind board.
Thermo systems have continually increased their popularity due to their ease of installation and economical properties. Thermal element system enables countless different architectural facade constructions. The Normek façade system can be modified to meet the demands of numerous objects with a variety of surface finishing options.
Thermal insulation is pre-integrated into the body structure of thermo elements. This saves the floor area of the building and allows very flexible space solutions while improving the overall energy economy of the building.
Our element system can be applied and modified for business, office, industrial and residential use. In addition to new buildings our system may also be used in renovation facilities.
To speed up installation Normek prepares windows, facade claddings and mouldings for ready-to-erect production units. Construction of these rain-resistant structures will be ready for use earlier than with traditional on-site construction.

Normek Oy specializes in comprehensive glass facade solutions. As the largest operator in Finland Normek serves customers from the planning to installation with more than 30 years of professional expertise.
Large and demanding glass facades are our specialty. We implement surface and glass structures, thermocouple and aluminium framed glass structures with specific requirements of each project. The references of already implemented solutions speak for themselves. Proudly introducing the glass facades of the Helsinki Music Center, the West Terminal 2, Vantaa Flamingo and Gazprom headquarters made by Normek.
Speed is our strength. To speed up the installation work the façade elements are readily manufactured in our production factories as large blocks as possible. Precisely dimensioned glass elements are installed on the aluminium or steel profile systems according to the desired time schedule.

FC Facade System
The patented Kalzip FC Facade system continues the development of the ventilated metal curtain facade for an intelligent building envelope and sets standards in terms of flexibility, ease of installation and cost-effectiveness.
The Kalzip FC Facade system provides architects and planners with a variable and, at the same time, easy-to-assemble building product for implementing new construction and renovation projects. The intelligent assembly technology saves time on the construction site. The easy click-in of the system components makes installation particularly economical. The freely selectable mounting direction from top to bottom or from bottom to top provides absolute flexibility.
FC Facade is suitable for installation on all substructures and is therefore often the most economical and physically best solution. FC Facade also scores points when it comes to dismantling: with the FC Toolkit it is possible to quickly and easily replace individual, damaged or heavily contaminated FC Facade panels. Time-consuming and costly dismantling of entire facade surfaces is no longer necessary, making maintenance very economical.
